Structure and Conformation of Decalins

In decalins both cyclohexane rings are in chair conformations.

The trans structure (highlighted blue hydrogens trans) is a flat rather rigid structure however the cis structures are puckered due to the ring junction (highlighted blue hydrogens cis).
